San Angelo Colts (1948–57 baseball team)
The San Angelo Colts were a Longhorn League (1948-1955) and Southwestern League (1956-1957) minor league baseball team based in San Angelo, Texas, USA. They were not affiliated with any major league teams.
They won the Longhorn League championship in 1955, under manager Pat McLaughlin.
A team by that name also played in the West Texas League in 1922.〔(San Angelo, TX Baseball Teams )〕 They started as the Pampa Oilers in 1957, but they moved back to San Angelo partway through the season.
Notable players and managers include McLaughlin, Sam Harshaney, Mark Christman and Hillis Layne.
